Come June, this charming coastal enclave transforms into an electric paradise brimming with family-friendly events, outdoor festivals and exciting happenings. Some of our favorite annual events return this month, like the International Polo Series every Saturday through September at Glen Farm in Portsmouth; the Newport Gulls games at historic Cardines Field; Newport Pride, to the annual Newport Flower Show.

Every year, Newport Pride takes place in June, celebrating the LGBTQIA+ community while promoting love, acceptance, inclusivity and diversity. The highly anticipated Newport Pride Weekend returns June 27th - 29th with a full line-up of exciting events and experiences.
Festivities will include:
Watch the home team, USA/Newport, take on challengers from around the world and major U.S. cities in one of the most exciting spectator sports in the world. Matches are held every Saturday, June – Sept., at Newport Polo, home of America’s First Polo Club. Festivities include Opening and Closing ceremonies, half-time Divot Stomp, Player’s Salute, Trophy Presentation, Après Polo Lounge, fan prizes, and other special weekly features field side.
Matches start at 5:00 PM. Expert commentary and Jumbotron live coverage explain the nuances of the game. Reserved Pavilion tables and Tailgate picnic spaces are sold in advance online, and Lawn Seating available online and at the entry gates.

Newport Flower Show offers a variety of special events, expert guest speakers, beautiful floral designs, impressive horticulture exhibits and more.

Rhode Island Slave History Medallions (RISHM) regrets to inform the local community that the 3rd Annual Newport Juneteenth will not take place in Washington Square this year, due to an unforeseen illness.
Instead, RISHM’s Founder and Executive Director, Charles L. Roberts, invites the community to attend a free, open-to-the-public talk on Tuesday, June 17th at 6:00 PM, at the Newport Public Library, where he and his team will speak about Black and Indigenous History over the last 300 years in Rhode Island and the significance of Juneteenth.
Registration for the June 17th library presentation is requested here. Light refreshments will be served.
Head to Trinity Church at Queen Anne Square fore strawberries by the carton (while they last), strawberry shortcake with local berries and Chantilly whipped cream, fresh squeezed lemonade and cool water. There will be craft vendors all day, live music, and fun for the whole family.

Positioned in the heart of downtown Newport, historic Cardines Field is home to the classic wooden-bat, summer collegiate baseball team the Newport Gulls. This championship team plays home games on (most) Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays throughout the months of June and July.
Picture it: ballpark treats, special appearances from mascot Gully, and a classic game of America's pastime at one of the oldest baseball stadiums in the country. Classic.

Spread out the picnic, soak up the warmth of the summer sun over Narragansett Bay, and enjoy a variety of musical performances by local musicians. Wednesday nights at Blithewold are the perfect way to enjoy summer with friends and family!

Immerse yourself in a curated outdoor art & garden event on Saturday, June 7th from 10am - 3pm in the Historic Tiverton Four Corners area. Find such things as pottery, block printing, photography, paintings, metal works, sculpture, bird baths & misters, select clothing, tree to table goods, textiles, linens, jewelry and herbals.
The annual Bristol Fourth of July Concert Series debuts on June 21st at Roger Williams University and returns daily through July 2nd.

The Bristol Vintage Market, a curated market of vintage finds, handmade goods, and local artisans, is back at Mount Hope Farm in Bristol.
Shoppers will be able to peruse booths with styles including farmhouse, coastal, mid-century modern, European, traditional, and more. Customers can purchase unique pieces as well as gain inspiration for their own space all in the pastoral and historical setting of Mount Hope Farm.

Celebrating more than 35 years in existence, the Newport Charter Yacht Show is a showcase of luxury charter yachts alongside a display of ancillary goods and services for the charter industry. This four-day event is dedicated exclusively to yacht charter professionals; agents, owners, brokers and captains in the dynamic, picturesque setting of Newport, Rhode Island.
The Newport Charter Yacht Show is produced by Safe Harbor Newport Shipyard, also the host to the Newport Brokerage Boat Show held concurrently with the Newport International Boat Show each September.

The 13th annual 10 Miler, benefiting the Fort Adams Trust and the Boys and Girls Club of Newport County returns at 7:30 AM on June 1, 2025.

The Bristol Independence Rhode Race will be held on Saturday, June 28th, 2025. In partnership with the Bristol Fourth of July Committee, the half marathon will follow the beautiful downtown streets of America’s quintessential community when it is decked out in its finest – during the Oldest 4th of July Celebration in America.
The course includes incredible historic homes, a town common and the America’s Cup Museum before heading out along the scenic coastline, through Roger Williams University and finishing along the water at Independence Park.
